JAM BANDS JUNIOR
Jam Bands Jr is inspired by our popular after school academy programs, but it's geared more for the younger crowd (ages 7-12) and Jam Bands first-timers. We still end the program with an exciting performance for family and friends where little musicians can feel like big-time rock stars, but we get there with easier song selections, a slower paced learning environment, shorter rehearsals, and fun activities that better meet the needs of younger students.

*Please note that we have a set minimum number of registered students we will need to make each session the academy program feasible. In the event that not enough students register, we will refund any registration fees and cancel that session of the program. Wherever possible, we'll allow sign-ups on a different session.
Tuition
$370
(2 month commitment required)

Payment in full is preferred whenever possible, and allows for the quickest registration. Monthly payment plans are available upon request. Please contact us for details.

Rehearsals will run every Wednesday evening June 4th to July 30th 7:30-8:30 PM with the following additions:
Possible Performance at the Jam Bands Summer Camp concerts on June 26, and/or July 11 (both 8-10pm)
Registration ends May 12th!
Location for JB Jr concert is TBD
Who
Musicians aged 7-12 who play guitar, bass, drums, horns or who sing are eligible to sign up for Jam Bands Jr.

We require a basic level instrument proficiency, and highly suggest that participants are concurrently enrolled in lessons with a private teacher for best results.
The final concert will be Friday August 1, 2025 from
7-8:30PM.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is Jam Bands different than private lessons? Is it a replacement for a teacher?
Jam Bands Jr is a supplement to private lessons rather than a replacement for them. Students enrolled in the program will gain experience they could never get practicing on their own, and our musical curriculum will cover topics that our instructors (who all have their own private studios) believe are essential to musical development but are seldom covered in private lessons, due to time constraints.
Basic technique, however, is best taught in a private lesson environment. JB Jr. students will be expected to learn and practice the music with their private instructor or on their own in between rehearsals.
My 7-12 year old is advanced. Can they do the standard Jam Band Academy or Summer Camp instead?
Jam Bands Junior will be the best option for most younger kids, but some have more experience and will have a better time mixed in with the older kids. If you suspect this is your child's situation, contact us to set up a soft audition, and we can help you decide which program will be the best fit.
